Warranties

JT Computers always guarantees the quality of its work. Following is an outline of the service warranty provided by JT Computers.

New parts:

Any new parts provided by JT Computers, whether they be sourced upon direct request of the customer or as parts installed by JT Computers in the process of an upgrade procedure, networking setup or otherwise, carry a manufacturers warranty of 6 months minimum. The manufacturers warranty covers failure of these parts due to manufacturing defect. Any damage incurred through improper use by the customer will not be covered by the manufacturer, nor will JT Computers cover such damage.

General Services:

JT Computers provides a warranty on all work performed in the carrying out of a general service or repair of customer computers. This warranty covers any damage caused to the customer computer as a result of JT Computers actions. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to the internal components of a PC, damage to peripherals or damage to the operating system. In the case of damage to the operating system, JT Computers will provide its System Overhaul service, including backup and/or recovery of customer data and a reinstall of the operating system, free of charge. Note that this warranty will NOT cover damage caused by improper use of equipment or software provided by JT Computers. In the case of damage caused to hardware as a direct result of JT Computers' actions, the damaged hardware will be replaced at the expense of JT Computers.

JT Computers will guarantee any work performed on a system for 6 months. This guarantee covers a failure of JT Computers' work as a result of an incorrect implementation of a solution, upgrade or fix. The guarantee will NOT cover a failure of work performed by JTC due to incorrect customer intervention or use, outside influences on the system or other such circumstances that result in system failure beyond the control of JT Computers. In such case as a failure is determined to be the fault of JT Computers, the fault will be rectified at no charge.

Data loss (reformatting):

JT Computers will NOT be held responsible for data lost during a reformat (wiping of the system) due to the customer failing to specify any data to be backed up when asked. When any system is to be reformatted by JT Computers, or is to undertake any other process that will result in the loss of data, the customer will be required to note specifically what data must be saved, or sign the invoice declaring that they personally have backed up any necessary data.
